As many of you know, I'm in Uganda with my son (who's from Uganda).
We visited a refugee resettlement, where 60,000 people from South Sudan are living to escape the war in their country.
There are 8 schools at this refugee area. There is one more refugee resettlement with another 8 schools.
The children get one meal a day at school.
In order to feed the 52,000 children, the government of Uganda is requiring a $6,000 tax on every container of food that is being donated. They will NOT allow the food to leave customs until the tax is paid. (I know, right 🙄😒)
